Help! I don’t know if anyone is still checking back here, but the laptop is still in the shop. I finally got a repair estimate of $500, which is for data recovery and a new hard drive. After I made some choking sounds the techie offered to look for a refurbished hard drive that would be cheaper.. Anyway if I can scrape up the money I may be able to get it back Saturday.
