David Corn has a post at Mother Jones headlined A Florida Massage Parlor Owner Has Been Selling Chinese Execs Access to Trump at Mar-a-Lago. Unfortunately, David Corn presents no evidence that Trump received payments from the massage parlor owner. On the other hand, there is lots of evidence the massage parlor owner and Trump have connections. See, for example, Plutocrat Whose Fortune Is Built on Sex Slavery Watched Super Bowl With Trump.

This is not a new article, but I’m just now seeing it — Politics is Failing Mass Transit. Our inability to address things we reallly need — like better mass transic or fixing our failing infrastructure — speaks to broken politics and our inability to make our elected politicians accountable for delivering what we really need.

Lots of buzz about this New Yorker article by Jane Mayer, The Making of the Fox News White House.

    That seems like sort of an unnessesary swipe at Corn? Should Corn keep his trap shut because he has no reciepts? This is sort of common knowledge, Trump is a crook. Have you seen the pictures and the fund raiser swag? Your not sure Trump is corrupt?

    If there actually were payments to tRUMP from that "spa's" owner, they might not have been made in the form of cash (or, checks, like the ones that epic dumbass wrote to Cohen, to payoff Stormy).

    He might, say, have gotten a free "Rub & Tug" a  week, or some other, more "satisfying" spa "treatment"  ("Wink-wink, say no more, say no more!").

  3. “Should Corn keep his trap shut because he has no reciepts?” Of course not. I’m just saying that it’s a shame we don’t have evidence of Trump’s complicity in the scam. But maybe it will come.

  4. Palm Beach, Mar La Go, Massage parlors, Yang (Cindy), Kraft (Patriots) and ties to influence peddling with China all within a stone's throw of each other.  Probably just coincidental.  Nothing to see here, just move on.  

    Seems nothing has changed in almost thirty years but the players.  This piece of writing is from 1989.

    There are no jails or hospitals in Palm Beach.  It is the ultimate residential community, a lush sandbar lined with palm trees and mansions on the Coast of Florida…..There are hideous scandals occasionally–savage lawsuits over money, bizarre orgies at the Bath and Tennis Club…..but scandals pass like winter storms in Palm Beach, and it has been a long time since anybody got locked up  for degeneracy in this town.

  5. Ah the irony. After his national emergency over trafficking at the border, turns out he and his family hang out with massage parlour madam at mar a lago getting her contributions from trafficking.

  6. Epic sleaze and pre-Trump sensibilities is word smith action at an elite level. Michelle Goldberg's piece in the NYT is a read not to miss.  Here is a tease:

    What’s clear, however, is that Trump owns a club where all sorts of characters can purchase access to him. Lu said that when he served in the White House, his rule was that “anyone who comes in contact with the president or is in the room with the president needs to be vetted. Who the hell is vetting people that are going into Mar-a-Lago?”

    This saga cannot end well for those of us who can't afford membership in the pay to play crowd.

    A commenter to the op-ed piece from Wisconsin who goes by Crystal echoed my sentiments quite well:

    I don't know if I'm jaded but I do know I am exhausted by the endless news involving this administration. I'd like to sleep from now until late October of 2020. When I can wake up, vote early (for anyone other than this man) and then have a few peaceful and quiet years.
