  1. I checked in a few times…I have made up my mind..I will Pull the Lever for a Straight Democratic ticket…Straight meaning all in a line…not what you were thinking….

  2. I only watched intermittently while gathering the week’s dirty laundry. Meanwhile, I was treated to their dirty laundry: “She admires Kissinger!” “Yeah, well, he hates Obama!”

So in the end I gave up and re-watched the episode where Cordelia wishes Buffy never came to Sunnydale. (America under the next Republican president: damn vampires everywhere.) According to NPR, there was a lot more substance to the debate that I missed.

  3. I watched and was happy that it was only 2 hours. The 3 hr. debates are too much for me. I felt the moderators asked adult, responsible questions. Hillary and Berney did get a little hot under the collar but they put forth their differences without getting into personal attacks. Admittedly, that did make it a little more boring than the Repug’s debates. Personally, I like both of them but of course do not agree totally with either. Guess that’s the way it is supposed to be. That’s why we have to make decisions. In Washington, we caucus instead of a primary and I do not like that process so I won’t be voting until the actual election. I just keep wondering who each of them would pick as VP. That’s my two cents worth.

  4. I watched very little of it, Bernie was having a coughing fit so that’s always nice? I unfortunately tuned into tweety before the debate and was so angered by his schilling for the Clinton’s I was in no mood to listen to her drone on. If Bernie wins the nomination it will be a miracle (I you believe in that sort of thing). I really thought what Rep. Lewis said was unconscionable: “he never saw him” what is he the civil rights gatekeeper? Why do things always get nasty in South Carolina? And can anyone tell me why the DNC has a debate in Wisconsin when the next election is in South Carolina? Anyway I don’t remember a candidate having so many establishment politicians and media types with their knives out, Bernie’s got a long hard slog in front of him.

I wonder that too! This morning I contemplated whether a Sanders/Warren ticket is just a foolish dream. I suspect a Clinton/Sanders ticket would never happen.

  6. Hillary got tarred with Kisssinger.. 🙂 I wonder how many people will even get that connection seeing how Kissinger’s heyday in statesmanship and foreign policy was over 45 years ago. I know for me, I instantly recalled bombing them back to the peace table.
There’s no doubt that Hillary is in command of her message. She has a powerful delivery, but through it all, it comes out rote and empty, at least to my mind. After watching the obstruction that Obama had to contend with as President I have doubts whether any Democrat President will be able to advance to any significant degree the ideals that either candidate are espousing. Given that thought,I’m leaning toward supporting the bolder approach in expectation and possibility that Sanders is putting out.
Either way both candidates measure up to my expectation, and when compared to the Repuglican’t side of the presidential contest, they shine.
I agree with grannyeagle that the debate was conducted as an adult affair, not the lie and deception filled circus atmosphere the GOP debates have provided. It was a credit to the Democratic Party.

    • Boasting about being endorsed by Kissinger does send up some warning flags, huh? And flares, and screaming flaming signs going WTF???????

  7. I had silence enforced upon me yesterday and early today by a defective router.
‘I had no internet, and I had to scream!’

I just got a new one!
    So, back to screaming!
    YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!

Of course, it cost me a fortune… :’-(

  8. Maha…I really liked your use of the term “self negotiating”. It hit the spot! That mindset is what I fear most as the biggest obstacle to the American public claiming the hope of what can be theirs. Change won’t happen without a voice.

  9. gulag..Yeah, internet withdrawal can be a bitch. You should have picked up the good book and found some comfort in the Psalms…Be still, and hear my voice?

  10. Nothing too “randy,” sadly…
Though, in the old days, certain types of salt were considered aphrodesiacs.
Also too, sadly – not Mortons, or any commonly sold NaCl.

So, I guess, stick to oysters and b*ner-pills!

  11. “I’m leaning toward supporting the bolder approach in expectation and possibility that Sanders is putting out.”

I agree. If they won’t even give you a rock, you may as well ask for the moon. At some point, people will be MAD we can’t be more like Denmark. No reason we can’t, except obstructionism from the 99% through their puppet GOPpers.

  12. HOLY SHITE!!!

My odds on the GOP Senators letting Obama to replace him this year, are about the same as my getting a date with Charlize Theron for Valentines Day!
Actually, I think i’ve got a better shot!
