  1. Between tea bagging, throat cramming, and this sort of thing, is this actually why the rightwing is so incompetent at running things? They just think about sex acts all the time, even without realizing they’re doing it?

  2. I can’t access Twitter at work (probs for good reason). Based on the comments above… dare I ask?

  3. Will the Santorum that’s going to be on the lips of every repuglican be the same Santorum that comprised Santorum’s google problem?

  4. Between the Santorum, the Duggery, and Rev. Hucksterbee’s trans shower fantasies, the Republican primary is turning out to be one XXX-rated sleaze fest!

  5. Dukkha Earl,
Like JDM said, they’re obsessed with sex – and that someone might actually be enjoying it. Especially if the people are of the same sex.

Hell, they get upset if someone anywhere is having a good time and enjoying life.
They want everyone to be as miserable as they are.

  6. “They want everyone to be as miserable as they are.”

Except Dick Cheney, who isn’t running (yet?). He’s happy being Darth Vader.

  7. My evil side wonders what someone adept with photoshop might do with that admirable quote. There’s something photogenic about it.

The USPS notified me that they disapprove of my flight to the degree that they will terminate my employment. The union will oppose and we will have to see.

  8. Doug,

That sucks, hopefully your union can keep your gig, best of luck. I can’t imagine what they objected to, perhaps the USPS logo on the tail? You know Doug you need to step up your game, perhaps you could stage a neo-nazi anti-Islam rally with a bunch of armed rednecks then after your life is threatened you could run for shelter and start a go-fundme page.

  9. Thanks uncledad. Yes, the union will help me and – no one knows if they actually have grounds. What I did is without precedent.

  10. Doug.. I assume you anticipated before you staged your civil disobedience appeal to Congress that the Postal Service would terminate you or at least try to. It should be interesting to see how it plays out. I hope it goes well for you and I wish you all the best. It’s nice to hear that the union will help you because as you well know the biggest penalty levied against you will be the financial in the defense of your actions and defense of your rights.

  11. I’ll just second what Swami wrote. Best of luck and we hope your Union will win tHe day.

  12. Swami – I expected that the USPS would be unhappy. SOP would have been for them to wait until the trial. I’ve seen this delay even in cases where drugs were involved and the carrier is accused of being a knowing courier. So there’s some pressure from above or impatience.

  13. Doug: It’s hard to imagine what you are going through right now. I know you’re intelligent and savvy enough to realize that this could happen but I’m sure that doesn’t make it any easier. Like everyone else here on Mahablog, I can only wish the best for you. Since I do believe in the oneness of everything, I also believe every thought has power and I will definitely be sending positive, peaceful thoughts your way. I respect your wishes not to be called a hero so I will give you a quote from Goethe: “Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.”

  14. Uncledad: Enjoyed the videos and it does make me nostalgic for the “old days”.

  15. Doug was mentioned on my local radio news last night. The report was that Doug says the USPS is trying to get rid of him. Don’t know where they got the info.
