"Barbara O’Brien’s wide-ranging account of Zen history is conveyed with a master storyteller’s ability to keep the forest from getting lost in a myriad of trees. Wearing her scholarship lightly, she blends just the right amount of skepticism about her hagiographic sources with a deep appreciation for the Dharma." — Barry Magid, author of

Ending the Pursuit of Happiness Order here!
When Stewart is clear on a message, he’s like a scalpel wielded by the most competent surgeon in the world – ditto, Colbert – though Colbert is more consistant.
“If…”
“If” George W. Bush was a competent, thoughtful, intellectually curious, motivational, calming, national leader, maybe he would have been the “Young Churchill” the Republicans wanted to paint him as. Or, to Americanize it – Ike or Teddy Roosevelt.
Instead, he made Alfred E. Newman, or Howdy Doody, seem like a mix of Jefferson, Lincoln, Teddy, Franklin, or Ike.
He was a hapless bobo of a puppet, in so far over his head, the Oval Office might as well have been located in the Marianas Trench.
No ‘”if’s” about this, though – I know one thing, when I hear “Carmina Burana” on FOX ‘n Sucks, I know they’re really out there “catapulting the propaganda” – and not just with regular old catapults, but with ICBM’s.
I’m certain that Stewert is right on here, but my complaint is with Comedy Central. If they’re clever enough to detect that I am in Canada, and can’t view the video, and clever enough to replace the video with a graphic telling me I can’t view the video, they’re clever enought to provid a redirect link. Which they never seem to do.
