"Barbara O’Brien’s wide-ranging account of Zen history is conveyed with a master storyteller’s ability to keep the forest from getting lost in a myriad of trees. Ok, back to me – GREAT CATCH, maha!!!
It’s was “I Am Woman,” a decade ahead of its time.
Wow! Forwarding this on…
I grew up with Leslie Gore’s music, but never really listened much to the words.
I have always loved this song. Used to have it on a 45 (record not a gun).
Well, I listened to the words….
Well, I listened to the words….
It didn’t mean much to me, as I was an eight or nine year old boy. I sure appreciate it/understand it now.
Always, always my favorite record from the 60s. A song that will live forever.
But I’m with Lesley… I can’t believe we’re still having to fight that fight.
I remember her from American bandstand and the beach party movies when I was about 10 years old and thought she was HOT! LOL.
Pat,
She’s STILL HOT!!!
