Romney is saying now he supports allowing legal abortion in cases of rape. But at one time or another Romney has held many different opinions on reproductive rights.

Well. I am not surprised that he has changed his stance (distancing himself from the controversy du jour). I’m wondering if even Romany knows what his opinions actually are 🙂
Bill,
Thanks, I hadn’t read that terrific piece before.
“Reason to Rise” sounds like it might not be something R&R counted on – women standing up to them.
Ryan should have thought about that before he co-sponsored Akins draconian bill.
And as for Romney, I think I figured out why porn star Jenna Jameson says she supports him:
She admires a man who’s taken even more positions than she has.
Ooops, my comment included the p*rn word spelled out. My bad!
Thanks, to Bill B. That was a very powerful, direct article.
I have known a few rape victims in my life and I abhor attempts to trivialize their shattering experience or to shift blame to them.
“Against ignorance, even the gods struggle in vain.”
Speaking of “stance,” it’s now my conclusion that Republicans only understand human reproduction from whatever they’ve read on the airport bathroom wall.
Akin today offers a “sincere apology” — but no talk of changing his hateful views on forced pregnancy. Another POS GOP hypocrite (surprise, surprise).
It’s been kind of, for lack of a better word, funny, to watch the Republicans try to get Akin to “pull out” of the race.
And it’s been interesting to watch them all stand around and try to deny that most, if not all, of their politicians are just as stupid, ignorant, and unempathetic as this evil assclown, when it comes to women’s rights – or anyone else’s, for that matter, except white Conservatice males.
The only one who I didn’t see sweat, was Mitt Romney.
And why should he?
He looked perfectly comfortable, because whatever stance his party wanted to take on abortion in this case, he’s already had that opinion several times.
Hell, no matter what the subject, Mitt has taken every stance possible. When running in MA, he was a flaming Liberal. Now that the needs the Republican base, he’s ‘a TRUE Conservative.”
I think I finally understand how p*rn star Jenna Jameson could support someone like Mitt Romney:
I think she admires a man who’s taken more positions than she has.
C u n d Gulag: LOL! Except when Jenna changes positions, it’s usually fun for all concerned (presumably). And she’s honest about what she does.
Akin’s shallow attempt to say he just used “the wrong word” is a pure dodge. It does not represent an apology for his entire vagina control prejudice. He probably can’t even talk about that, what with those flowing juices and all. I guess it is difficult for those prescriptors who think they are the products of immaculate conception to deal with human biology.

I meant Romney, of course. Must be too tired.
Great response to Akin from HuffPo:
