  2. YES! – Mister President – that’s how you define the choice in this election – and President Obama was totally civil in how he discussed Romney and Ryan – and totally frank in how he framed the differences between the Obama approach and the Ayn Rand approach to fixing the economy.

    Romney – Ryan, playing to the far right will NOT be so civil. The Palin Tea Party gangs became overtly hostile to the media four years ago – the media simply reported the ugliness- and families started avoiding GOP events. It got so bad that McCain (to his credit) had to tamp it down. Nobody is going to tamp it down this time around.

    If Romney continues to slide in the polls, we will see violence before the election.

    There’s still lots of election left – like some of you I am feeling optimistic. The question is how the issues of the presidential race will translate in congressional contests when virtually all the GOP candidates who are defending voted FOR the Ryan plan. (Special thanks to Governor Romney for making the Ryan plan a central issue.)

  3. If I didn’t know better, I’d say Ryan was a plant to set the Obama campaign on fire. Great to hear Obama address the crowd in this way! And I’m glad Joe Biden is out telling people the GOP will put them in chains.

  5. I think the Obama-Biden campaign now has all the ammunition it needs to whomp the hell out of R-money and R-uination.

    I also like the short, direct video clip as an example of how Obama is most effective when he is shorter, more direct, and less formal.

  6. I thought poor Mark Halperin was going to cry on Cup O’ Schmoe’s show this morning, after they showed the clip from Biden’s speech.

    Man, Halperin’s got it BAD for dreamy Paul Ryan – NTTAWWT!
    Just not on a morning news show. Or on ANY news show, for that matter.

    Mitt and dreamy Ryan are spitting mad at Biden’s line.
    Who knew a heartless plutocrat and his political lackey could be so sensitive?

    Please don’t stop, Mr. Biden.
    Or, President Obama.
    Keep piling on, until the early morning of November 7th.
