The Ruibio-Blunt amendment that would have allowed employers to deny insurance coverage to employees based on the employers’ personal whims was tabled in the Senate. Sen. Olympia Snowe was the only Republican to vote down the amendment. Three Democrats — Sens. Ben Nelson (NE), Joe Manchin (WV), and Bob Casey (PA) — voted to preserve it. Yeah, we’re taking names.
Looks like Joe Manchin’s trying to be the new “Traitor Joe,” now that Lieberman’s leaving.
Oh, and what’s everyone getting their mammaries in an uproar about?
I mean, the vote was 51-48, so it’s not like it was close or anything.
This is why I give nothing to the DNC. I donate directly to the candidates I select in order to avoid supporting…well, I don’t need to say that.
So long Ben, won’t miss ya, ever.
