"Barbara O’Brien’s wide-ranging account of Zen history is conveyed with a master storyteller’s ability to keep the forest from getting lost in a myriad of trees. I’ve noticed lately that the big three cable “information portals” have been paid handsomely by the oil and gas industry giants frick and frack. Those friendly little ads about clean coal and concerned geo-science folk, they run hard on cable news. Day and night for the last couple years i’d wager it’s at least 10% of the ad buy. I wonder how they will report on the upcoming “keystone” decision? Surely they will be objective.

I haven’t seen Stewart/Oliver in ages, forgot how funny John Oliver is.
Russian Orthodox – and no, not the starooveryushi (Old Believers). But, then, I’m a non-believer, taking my parents to church – and then the FOOD!!!!
I’ll let you know the menu tomorrow – gotta run!
John Stewart is a thousand times better than any commercial journalist.
With regards to Frick and Frack, NPR had a nice piece about how the dirty and should-be-illegal process of natural gas “fracking” is doing GREAT economic harm as well. With gas cheap, it is slowing the growth of clean, low-impact technologies like solar.
