The insidious dry rot and termite infestation that seem to permeate religious ‘houses’ that have been around awhile always manage to hide the original pristine beauty of them when they were ‘new’ to the world.
It’s hard to find a religion or a viable belief system that does not, finally, say that the first order of business on a journey of the spirit is to know yourself. Chances are that embarked on that journey there would be little or no time left in a lifetime to worry or think or proselytize about much of anything else.
