So today we celebrate the day we declared freedom from Great Britain. We now send our warriors around the world to bring freedom to others: We call them freedom-fighters.

Yeah, even the torture, the illegal and immoral invasion of Iraq, Abu Ghraib, Guantanamo, and all the nasty slime the Bush administration has smeared on our proud history. I wonder if Bush was giving the new citizens a chance to back out, or just warning them that the stink if his disgrace will be stuck to them once they’re sworn in.
