"Barbara O’Brien’s wide-ranging account of Zen history is conveyed with a master storyteller’s ability to keep the forest from getting lost in a myriad of trees. Wearing her scholarship lightly, she blends just the right amount of skepticism about her hagiographic sources with a deep appreciation for the Dharma." — Barry Magid, author of

Gettin’ a little grumpy there, ain’t we Maha?
Prolly due to a lack of Poke Salet in yore diet…
Or too much cornbread…
Gore gets it!…. We gotta put an end to the most incompetent, constitutionally abusive, and corrupt administration in American history. McCain will be just a continuation of Bush ,but without the charming personality
Obama might not turn out to be a change you can believe in, but he is the only chance for change you can believe in.
Wow no comments about old Al Gore?
More important is the often used claim (now that the neoconsuperfratboys are trying to get re-elected) that we have not been attacked since September 11, 2001. No terrorism since 9-11.
Lets examine that claim. We have lost to date 4,102 of our young and not so young men and women in Iraq. So yes we have not been attacked under the current “terror war” at home. 4,102 men and women have lost there lives, 4,102 people who have mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons, and daughters are gone. So when the right wing talk about how we have not been attacked, they have not been attacked because they do not serve in the military, they don’t have to. They say it is better to have the people that volunteer for the military (the ones they call heroes) die in Iraq. Better they die there so we don’t die here, so we can just putter along here at home.
We have been attacked since 9-11, we have been attacked 4,102 times.
