Reminds me of when my mom shifted me from a Catholic school to a public school in 7th grade. The Catholic school program was about a year ahead, so I appeared to be much smarter than my new public school classmates . I got ambushed and beaten up several times on my way home for being smarter than my new “friends”.
Some bad boys never grow up……….
