Did anyone notice how the good GOP rep parsed the war to if “you” leave. Whats with the “you” bullshit. Yeah I have to give Matthews credit, he was actually ouraged, some actual feelings. Very rare footage.
I echo what someone said over the weekend: He only bullies the little guy’s. With the right-wing big-boy’s he chortles and cackles over every talkling point. Sorry about this image, but it’s like he’s humping their leg.
Still, I hope he continues this and expands. But he won’t. He afraid it’ll become “No-ball,” if he play too much “Hardball.”
Matthews merely explodes and makes a mess however, he’s not very incisive, which is why I guess he’s the interviewer and not the interviewee. I don’t enjoy watching him.
Matthews didn’t go after Kingston’s statement that ” most insurgencies fail”. No doubt that they do, but unless he’s trying to taint the argument, it’s a totally irrelevent statement. Most is not all, so what’s he attempting to say without saying it?
Swami — I wondered about that, too. Do most insurgencies fail? Particularly in recent history (the past century or so)? All the ones I can think of were at least partly successful.
