The best of Matt Stoller is right up there with the best of any political writers, and “Debate Train to Crazy Town” is one of the best. Even more incredible, he put that post together within hours of the debate. Amazing. His best observation, IMO, is why he thinks Joe Lieberman didn’t stay around to talk with reporters after the debate and how that ties in with the many times he’s avoided coming back to CT for events during his tenure. Basically, Joe is a snob. He thinks he’s better than any of the people he represents. What a sad caricature of a man.
I wasn’t feeling so good about this race a few weeks ago; it had stagnated, and the polling reflected that and will still reflect that for a week or so. Today, I think there was a decisive shift both in the dynamic of the race and in the tone of the political environment.
Sen. Joe Lieberman has increased his lead over Democratic challenger Ned Lamont to 17 percentage points, according to the first Quinnipiac University poll taken since the two faced off in a debate earlier this week.
Lieberman, who is running as an independent after losing the Aug. 8 Democratic primary to Lamont, leads the Greenwich businessman 52 percent to 35 percent among likely voters in the poll released Friday. Republican Alan Schlesinger trailed with 6 percent and 7 percent were undecided….
The Neddites blew it. The Neddites blew it big time. They never got the voters to grasp that Lieberman is the Republican candidate for U.S. Senate. I believe I read at the Huffington Post that 35% of war opponents in CT support Liberman. Failure, failure, failure.

Wouldn’t it be pretty to think so:

Oh, damn — forgot to turn off the HTML tag.
Steve M — I believe I fixed it.
Thanks.
