While we are all basking in the glow of Roy Moore’s defeat, congressional Republicans say they have reached an agreement on their tax bill, and that it will be voted on next week. And it’s doubtful they will allow Doug Jones to be seated first. Here’s what’s known about what’s in the bill.
"Suicide Tax Bill"
I think the tax bill is bad, it gives almost all the benefit to the rich and corporations. Also the fact that we are at full employment it is completely unnecessary and may well cause a bubble which could lead to a recession. That said I don't think it is suicide, Americans have shown time and time again that if they even perceive an economic benefit for themselves they don't care about deficits and or the fact that the economy could be structurally damaged in the future. I think this tax bill will be quite popular for a couple years and that's really all the GOP wants.

A correction, maha:
It's a 'Murder/Suicide Bill.'
They're going to hurt – and/or kill – a hell of a lot of people before they feel any political repercussions from this massive shift of money away from hard-working people to the rich and corporations.
Without even knowing close to the final language – which is still being written, "W the People" already know that this bill is one of the most damaging to people and this nation, in this country's history. But don't take my word for it: Many economists are calling it by far THE WORST economic bill in our history.
On the plus side, we can finally say who's on any of the much ballyhooed "Death Panels:"
The Republican POTUS and the Republicans in a Republican-led Congress.
This bill is the conservative wet-dream-of-all-wet-dreams that they've been praying for since "The New Deal" and "The Great Society" began to help working people instead of the powerful politicians and their richer and more powerful cronies and pals.
Karma's got a lot of work ahead of it.
The GOP is less a political party, operating more like a criminal racketeering organization. Adherence to norms and traditions of governance and legislating, and the rule of law mean nothing to their leaders and benefactors. Actual governance is not on its agenda; its sole purpose is transferring wealth into the pockets of its benefactors, period.
csm,
"Actual governance is not on its agenda…"
No, it's not.
Ruling, however is – and without any, or just token, competition, it should go without saying.
Theocraatic Fascism, here we come!!!
